I practice a holistic approach to health & wellness, which means that I look at how all areas of your life are connected. Does stress at your job or in your relationship cause you to overeat? Does lack of sleep or low energy prevent you from exercising? As we work together, we will look at how all parts of your life affect your health as a whole.
My approach is not to dwell on calories, carbs, fats, & proteins. It is not to create lists of restrictions or good & bad foods. Instead, I work with my clients to create a happy, healthy life in a way that is flexible, fun & rewarding.
My journey began many years ago when I was diagnosed with Fibrocystic Disease. I was fortunate to have doctor who suggested I try an elimination diet. "Only veggies, fruit & grains for a few weeks and see how you feel”, he said. After a few weeks the pain went away, the cysts shrank, and I lost 10 lbs without trying. I quickly learned my nourishment directly corellated to how I felt & my health!
My journey continues 20 years later on a path of wellness. Since then, I have lowered my cholesterol from over 240 to 180, and learned how to effectively manage inflammation in my back, neck and knees. The common cold is no match for me either, all due to understanding my own bio-diverse system within my personal environment. Depending on the season and issue, I have built an arsonal of foods and drugless practitioners that I can depend on to get nearly every situation I'm faced with significantly improved.
